HIFU (or High Intensity Focused Ultrasounds) is a new non-invasive medical lifting technique that requires neither surgery nor needles, thanks to ultrasound. HIFU is now used in aesthetic medicine to allow the skin tissues of the face, neck and décolleté to be tightened using high-intensity focused ultrasound.

Theory behind the technique: What is HIFU?

High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) delivers heat energy to the SMAS layers and subcutaneous tissues which can stimulate and renew the skin’s collagen and therefore improve the surface and reduce sagging of the skin. This technique can be applied to the face as well as the whole body and works equally well on all skin tones.
